There are quests to complete before you can never complete them

World of Warcraft Cataclysm Classic’s pre-patch is coming on April 30th, and there are some things you should definitely do before then, as well as a preview of what to expect.

Cataclysm brings, well, a cataclysm to Azeroth, and the new preview offers some guidance on how to prepare for leveling in a shattered landscape. Given the nature of what's about to happen, some original quests will no longer be available. There are many quests that will still be available in your log if you haven't completed them yet, but if you are a completist or if you just haven't caught up yet, there are some things you won't be able to do later. This is also relevant if you're working on the Loremaster achievements, since some of those needed quests may drop off your progress unless you complete the achievements before the shattering.

The WoW Classic team is redesigning some of the achievements to be easier to track your progress as you continue. This will split the criteria so that you need to complete sets of quests in each zone instead of a larger number across the entire continent. Exploration achievements are also now account wide.

Cataclysm Classic is going to be out in full on May 20th, but with the pre-patch next week, can expect the Goblin and Worgen races, along with new race and class combinations, and leveling updates. This will bring the progression track up to 60.

The update will bring a new profession, Archeology, that will let you have an option to survey the land and collect archeology fragments within dig sites  throughout Azeroth and complete new artifacts. Also coming in the update is the transmogrification system. Yep, transmog is almost here.

It’s time to prepare for the changes ahead, but the guides should help you finish any last minute things on your to do list as Cataclysm Classic approaches.
