Genshin Impact just received its annual major update, bringing a new region, new areas, new quests, and more along with it.
"Flowers Resplendent on the Sun-Scorched Sojourn", or update 5.0, has brought a plethora of new content for everyone to enjoy. One of the key features is of course the new area, Natlan, that makes the world of Teyvat larger than ever before. The new storyline within the new region only opens up after Adventure Rank 28 and the completion of the Liyue story quests, but those who have completed the Mondstadt Archon quests can still venture through if they so choose.
There is a new feature that has never been seen prior in Teyvat, and that is the Saurians who allow us to connect with three new tribes – the Koholasaurus, Tepetlisaurus, and Yumkasaurus. The update was showcased at Gamescom ONL 2024 which let fans take a dive into all the update has to offer prior to its official release.
Alongside the new major area comes a few new characters. Two five-star characters–Mualani, a five-star Hydro catalyst wielder and Kinich, a Dendro warrior with a claymore–and four-star Kachina, a Geo character armed with a polearm.
Traverse the area known as the Domain of Forgery: Watchtower. There are several features, changes, and quality of life updates that came with the update, and still, plenty of content that came with the 4.8 update just last month for those who may not be far enough along to journey to Natlan.
