Final Fantasy XIV has a brand-new guide for crafting and gathering disciplines updated for 6.0. Designed for Land, for those who harvest natural resources and Hand, for those who craft items from various materials, there’s also an updated guide on just how to get started. And if you haven’t done so yet, it’s also worth reading over to check for the most recent changes and additions from 6.0
With Final Fantasy XIV resuming its free trial yesterday after it was suspended in the wake of Endwalker’s release and even greater server congestion issue, there's a good chance that new players will begin joining again. So this guide comes at a great time for those who need a little help getting started in crafting and gathering as they settle into Eorzea.
The various Disciplines of the Hand include Blacksmith, Goldsmith, Leatherworker, Weaver, Alchemist, Armorer, and Culinarian. The Disciplines of the Land include Miner, Botanist, and Fisher. Each of these disciplines includes its own guide with a description of just what they each do and specialize in, complete with clues and lore regarding their function as well. The Actions and Traits section shows, naturally, the actions and traits with the different skills and milestones you’ll get to learn. This also includes specialist actions and all of this is updated for 6.0.
There is an entire guide on crafting and gathering disciplines designed for new players that breaks the whole process down from hitting level 10 and being able to start your exploration of a crafting discipline, complete with screenshots and methods you’ll use.
