Riot's upcoming MMO just got an experienced developer to join their team, as Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz announced via Twitter he would be setting up shop working on the anticipated MMO.
Tomaszkiewicz most recently worked as the Quests Director for CD Projekt Red's most recent title, Cyberpunk 2077. Previously, though, he was the Quest Design Lead for what is arguably one of the most influential RPGs in the last ten years, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. In his time at CDPR, Mateusz also worked on the first two entries in the Witcher game series, as well as served as Game Director for Thronebreaker.
Big career update - I spent last few months meeting and talking to a number of great people and Teams, and now I’m pleased to announce that I’ll be joining @riotgames on their upcoming MMO project. I’m excited and looking forward to this new challenge, stay tuned! pic.twitter.com/9dfKdBCG7B

In a post on Twitter, Tomaszkiewicz states that he will be joining the team at Riot to work on the yet-unnamed MMO the team over there is currently building. What his role will be is unclear as it wasn't announced by either Mateusz or Riot, but it adds another highly qualified developer onto the staff building the MMO. This move comes a few months after Tomaszkiewicz announced he would be leaving CDPR for new opportunities.

We still don't know too much about Riot's MMO, and while adding someone of Mateusz caliber to the team can only help, a tweet a few months back by executive producer Greg "Ghostcrawler" Street does point to a desire to bring "fresh eyes" into the fold to create a game with fresh perspectives, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds.
