NGE (Next Generation Sports) and Twitch have announced a strategic partnership to bring the Overwatch Winter Premier Live Finals to this year's PAX South during the first two days of the San Antonio event. Tickets are currently on sale for the event that will also be streamed via Twitch.
The Overwatch Winter Premiere began in December, with over 500 North American teams competing over the course of four days in the open online qualifier. Following the qualifier and the final week of extended round-robin play, the four remaining teams will move on to the last stage of the tournament, and a chance to win part of the $100,000 prize pool.
PAX South will take place in San Antonion, Texas on January 27-29, 2017.
