It has been a hot minute since we heard about the future of Fractured Online and it seems the team is gearing up for a big livestream on April 8 at 9 PM PST to fill us in. Marking their first official stream since the IP was sold and development has shifted, Community Manager Mortveiare and Game Director Tanahara will provide plenty of details on where the game is headed.

The livestream event promises to lay development bare in front of players as the team shares their vision for the reboot, details on creative direction, asset improvements, and updates on the rendering pipeline and Coherence migration. Viewers should expect an in-depth look at ongoing changes, including visual upgrades, new control system enhancements, and behind-the-scenes insights into how the team is approaching the transition to a refreshed development cycle under Happy Cauldron Games.

The team will also likely clarify their strategy for handling legacy Kickstarter rewards and give a first look at updated art and model concepts that reflect the game's evolved aesthetics, though the eight-person team still has a lot to accomplish to get players back back, or anywhere near, the all time peak player count of 1500 players from nearly 3 years ago. Currently, Fractured Online is sitting around 30 peak daily players. Hopefully the new shift in development will entice players to return.

Catch the stream live on Twitch and YouTube to see what's next for Fractured Online.
