Their own description is too good to pass up. The We Ride team is setting out to bring back the action packed PvP mayhem that many have longed for since the dawn of this century. According to Ben Holme, "I want it to be hard as hell. No magically flaming swords, no mighty castles. No, you live in a barren desert, you're gonna get killed and looted, and you're gonna love it!"
Holme took part in an AMA on Reddit where we learn a bit more about his vision (and via the official site):
- We Ride has been in development on Unreal Engine 4 for two years
- the first playable version is ready for playing. Simply head to WeRide.com, download it and play
- all players share the same world without PvP safe zones
- everything you wear and in your inventory will be laying there for other players to loot
- classes based on skills are grouped into warrior, ranger, mage, thief
- skills improve through use
