Wayfinder’s big 0.2.4.0 patch rolled out recently, as part of Airship Syndicate’s continued efforts to improve the game, reduce performance demand, and continue making the overall experience better. The latest update updates menus for greater usability, fast travel, a new soft targeting system, console graphic options, and much more.

There are new performance and quality modes in the graphics setting on the console version. A few other changes mean shaders and other elements will pre-load to decrease wait and possible lag, this means inventory and shaders loading when the game starts. The character menu has also been reworked, with a new visual presentation, new tooltips, and improvements stretching to other menus. Fast travel also gets a convenient flyout menu that lists unlocked Signal Fires you can use to fast travel across the map.

While a lot of the update is about performance improvements, visual upgrade, and player experience tweaks, there are some progression balance changes, adjustments to the world, and dozens of fixes.

Some of the zones, like Shrouded and Reaver Woods Lost Zones, have gotten bespoke encounters, adding to variety out in the world. Some other areas got more mob spawns, like The Bone Orchard, which will have more Reavers. There’s also a new loot island to discover in the hidden Heroic mode of Gloom Tears over in the Highlands.

As far as progression balance changes, the drop rate for epic accessories from bosses has gone up, while the chances that an accessory will be rare has been reduced from 91.5% to 60%. The chance that it will be epic has gone up, from 8.5% to 40%. These kinds of changes are things that you'll have to notice in the world

The variety of fixes in this update address all sorts of issues, from disconnect or crash issues, localization problems, a number of UI issues where things were unclear or interactions didn't work, and a whole bunch of quest fixes.
