Wayfinder has received some major quality-of-life updates since the announcement of Wayfinder Echoes, which will further add to the imminent 1.0 release.
This first quality-of-life update brings a highly requested feature known as the Party Finder feature. This option will allow players to find games by choosing specific activities. The devs do mention that this is still a peer-to-peer game and that we will not be connecting to a dedicated server.
On top of the major features, there are a hefty amount of world changes, narrative and quest changes, combat changes, and even some loot and progression additions. The world changes decreased the enemy respawn rates in both Highlands and Forstmarch, added audio to trap damage, and fixed several issues with NPCs and players getting trapped inside of chests they opened after bosses. As for the narrative and quest updates, we will now unlock affinities earlier on in the tutorial, and be able to witness Wayfinder Memories as long as the required Wayfinder has been summoned.
There are a lot of major and minor updates to check out and take note of prior to the 1.0 launch. Wayfinder Echoes was announced earlier this year, stating that the ARPG would no longer be a live-service title and would become a “pay-once” game instead.
