Owlcat Games recently showcased the Death Cult and companion Kibellah coming to Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader as part of its upcoming Void Shadows DLC. Unfortunately, players are going to have to wait a bit longer to add Kibellah to their crew, as Void Shadows has been delayed a couple weeks from its original August release to its new release date of September 24.
The studio announced the new release date in an update on Steam, explaining that the “technical quality is not quite there yet.” It appears the delay is meant to give the developer time to do an additional polish pass so that hopefully its in its best state when it releases in September.
The Void Shadows DLC will add roughly 15 hours of new content, unique equipment, and a new romanceable companion in Kibellah, the aforementioned Death Cult assassin. The DLC is integrated into the game’s main campaign and will task players with exploring the depths of their voidship to fight back against the Genestealer Cult, capable of altering the genetic code of the player’s crew to convert them over to their side, with aims to destroy the von Valancius dynasty from within.
Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader is available now.
