Warhammer 40K is Headed to the Small Screen in Newly-Announced Series
Warhammer 40K is coming to the small screen thanks to a new partnership between Games Workshop and Golden Globe winner Frank Spotnitz (X-Files, Man in the High Castle). Big Light Productions will be in charge of production that is based on a character named Gregor Eisenhorn, an Inquisitor of the Ordo Xenos.
The series has a huge repository of books, games, comics, and more from which to draw. Inquisitors "are agents of the God-Emperor of Mankind that goes hunting down the taint of daemons and other alien influences from Humanity and its vast, but ever-dwindling Imperium."
Author Dan Abnett said that Eisenhorn is a complex character, "a purger of heretics" who is both powerful and devoted to his work. His work takes him to places that challenges his very being and the notion of what it means to be loyal.
