Warhammer 40K: Darktide developer Fatshark has rolled out new content for the game’s recently released The Traitor Curse update, pitting players against the Karnak Twins in a new mission titled the Orthus Offensive.
As part of the Orthus Offensive, players will face off against the formidable and treacherous Karnak Twins, Captain Wolfer’s most trusted lieutenants. Wolfer, for those unfamiliar, is the traitor leader of Moebian forces 6th regiment on Tertium.
The new mission can be found on the game’s mission board under “special assignment.”
The Orthus Offensive went live with patch 1.2.2.1, which includes a variety of fixes and tweaks. Some of the highlights include tweaks to fire damage from Scab enemies, fixes to a number of crashes, a fix for players unable to pick up Stimms while carrying a Grimoire, the restoration of missing visual effects, and a small rev motor sound added to the Orestes Mk XII Assault Chainaxe’s light attacks.
Warhammer 40K: Darktide is a spiritual successor and follow up to Fatshark’s Warhammer Fantasy co-op horde mode game Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide and Vermintide 2, originally released in 2015 and 2018, respectively.
Warhammer 40K: Darktide is on sale on Steam for $25.99 USD (35% off) through December 18.
