Wargaming’s mech hero shooter Steel Hunters, which mixes battle royale and extraction mechanics, entered Early Access today. Jump into customizable mechs for PvPvE action and maybe fulfill a couple of childhood fantasies.
These giant mechs are the title Hunters, and you can dive into duo battle, complete objectives to level up and progress, get new gear, and of course rack up the victories on the battlefield. There's a new trailer for the Early Access global launch that shows you what it's all about and what you’re getting into if you play.
The Early Access release features seven Hunters, each with their own characteristics and abilities and names like Fenris, Ursus, Prophet, and Razorside. Get your mech and get on one of the three available maps that all feature destructible environments. Early Access also features a revamped progression system.
Steel Hunters is a free to play game and the Early Access is intended to help the team gather feedback and get enough real data to polish the game up for its eventual full launch. As of today's Early Access launch, all the servers will remain permanently online so there are no more progress wipes. You keep everything you earn and your progress through to the full launch for kind of a head start.
