Warframe had a bevy of announcements this afternoon, with Digital Extremes finally giving players a release window for the highly anticipated expansion, The Duviri Paradox. Additionally, TennoCon is coming back as a live, in-person event for the first time since The Before Times.
The roguelike-inspired Duviri Paradox has been teased and shown little by little over the last few years, and now players finally know around when they'll be able to dive into the upcoming content. Coming in April, players will be able to explore the fractured world for themselves, and thankfully for new players hopping in, Digital Extremes claims it'll be accessible "to all players new and old."
Via today's press release:
Launching worldwide for all platforms in April, The Duviri Paradox is a roguelike-inspired and emotionally driven Open World experience accessible to all players new and old. Telling a gritty, sci-fi story that follows the Drifter stuck in a massive color-changing and reality-fractured world, The Duviri Paradox is unlike any Warframe expansion ever released. With The Duviri Paradox, Digital Extremes has evolved the game’s action combat experience to invite all players into the Void-wrecked unknown where the Drifter, along with their Kaithe, and Warframes adventure and fly across this vast color-shifting reality to face off against a powerful new Child King ruler - Dominus Thrax.
Showcased today during a dev stream, the team at Digital Extremes took players through the open world of Duviri as the Drifter, highlighting the Undercroft, a world outside the prying eyes of Dominus Thrax. The Duviri Paradox features three game modes for players to jump into, the endless mode called "The Circuit," the open world of "The Duviri Experience," and "The Lone Story," a solo narrative experience (the name fits it well).
Additionally, a new Prime Warframe was revealed to be coming later this month. Hildryn Prime will be coming on March 15th, bringing the Prime treatment to the Warframe.
Fans of Warframe can also look forward to later on this year as the developer will be hosting its annual TennoCon. However, returning to a mix of live and digital events, this year's celebration will mark the first time in three years it's been held as an in-person event. Digital Extremes will be hosting the convention in its hometown of London, Ontario, on August 26th. A celebration stream to mark Warframe's 10-year anniversary will be held later this month on March 22nd where more TennoCon 2023 details will be revealed.
