Citrine’s Last Wish is the latest update for Warframe, and coming the week of Valentine’s Day, there’s a tale of star-crossed lovers here with Digital Extremes’ sci-fi action twists.
The 52nd Warframe debuts in the new content, which is now available on all platforms. Citrine, the Crystal Bastion, makes her debut with her exclusive weapons alongside new customizations. Her abilities can take down enemies, inflict status effects, and have versatile support and protection capabilities as well. She can even set a crystalline shell that your party can strengthen by getting kills and assists.
As for that love story? Hinted at in the new release trailer, you'll discover everything about this ancient love story through the Tyana Pass mission node. The story of lovers Rania and Belric, will be told through new Mirror Defense missions. These are a twist on classic defense missions that will see you facing an onslaught of enemies in order to reunite these two lovers.
When you find Citrine’s Remnants throughout the area, you can use them to help restore the lovers and awaken the Prismatic Ward to protect them. Rania and Belric are preserved in crystal, and connected through space and time. You can use the Void tunnel between worlds to protect their crystals, each on different planets. With the tunnel and crystals offering great power, you’ll have to take on waves of enemies who are trying to take them for themselves.
If you succeed in these, you’ll pick up resources, Belric and Rania fragments, and both weapon and Citrine blueprints.
This update launches several new types of customizations that debut in Warframe. Among them are a new category of Drifter face tattoos, new skins, a Multiform Visage Ink Bundle (with new face tattoo designs), and others all joining the market. The new Rhino Deathwatch skin is also going to be useful for inspiring fear in enemies.
