Warframe’s latest Devshort has quite a few nuggets of info of interest within, including the next Devstream dates, mobile version updates, some community Q&A questions and more.
Warframe’s next Devstream will happen on March 28th at 2pm Eastern. We can expect details about the TennoCon digital pack and a post-release discussion of the Techrot Encore update, which will be out on March 19th. If you’re curious about the sorts of weapons to expect in the update, we get to see one, the Coda Bassocyst, and the design is both whimsical and potentially underestimated as you tear through enemies with a mutated boombox with a facehugger alt fire.
We can expect a demo at GDC soon. Digital Extremes will also be at PAX East and they are scheduling Devstream 188 on May 10th, live from Boston, and if you are going to be at the con, they will have some gifts.
Back to this stream, mesh streaming is on the way to help people with lower end machines, including lower-memory mobile devices, with performance. It will debut in Soulframe first, as Warframe has a bigger relative download size and more to prepare for. Graphical improvements of this nature will also touch on the Nintendo Switch version of Warframe. Eligible devices will benefit from mesh streaming as well as better anti-aliasing and UI rendering.
Speaking of mobile, we get an update on the Warframe Android beta, there's still no official release date and they are testing the build, but there are still crashes and work to be done.
What we can all jump into right now are the 12th anniversary Alerts, which kicked off this week. And, if you still need to grow your collection, today’s Prime Resurgence rotation will add Nidus and Saryn Prime.
