War Thunder is bringing players to a zone...one full of danger...in its most recent update. The aptly named "Danger Zone" update brings the iconic US Navy fighter the F-14 Tomcat to the mix, alongside Israeli helicopters and even napalm.
Gaijin Entertainment's War Thunder is bringing the Danger Zone update in the wake of Top Gun Maverick hitting theaters, putting players in the cockpit of one of the most versatile naval fighters of all time: the F-14 Tomcat. That isn't the only highlight of the descent of the free-to-play title into the Danger Zone, as players can now use devastating napalm, as well as the Chinese tank ZTZ99A. Additionally, players can fly into these zones of danger using new Israeli variants of well-known helicopters, such as the Hughes MD500 TOW light attack helicopter.
Another highlight of the update is the arrival of a World War 1-era German battleship, the SMS Bayern, which served in the Kaiser's navy starting in 1916. It's large cannon and thick armor makes it one of the most powerful battleships in War Thunder to date.
You can check out more on the official website. War Thunder is free-to-play on PC, as well as PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and even supports VR using the Oculus and HTC Vive systems.
It's just a shame that the trailer above couldn't use the iconic Kenny Loggins song. Here's the cast of Archer performing it, though, which is always a treat.
