War Thunder has released its big Apex Predators update, with a focus on aircraft, including fourth-generation jets, new content all around, new maps, new vehicles, quest content, and much more.
There are new aircraft for every nation in the game, including the brand new rank VII 4th generation aircraft. Leading the pack here are the notable F-16A, the MiG-29, and the Tornado. Apex Predators brings new models and updates to over 40 vehicles, ranging from aircraft and ground vehicles, to naval vessels. They've also polished some of the navel content, including new models for naval crews, updated voiceovers for events, new locations, and more.
Every nation represented gets new aircraft, and there are also new units across the game. Importantly, there are also new locations and missions. The new Gold Quarry map is designed to be a battleground for mixed battles. With the emphasis on aircraft here, as well as the terrain in this mob featuring a gold ore refinery plant in the mountains, with storage, processing, and shipping facilities, there's room and walls from the refinery plant, as well as hauling trucks, heaps of ore, and more ways to use the map for control, cover, and attacks.
The second new map is called Snowy Poland, and It is the winter version of the Poland map, so if you're familiar with that, you already have an advantage. Yet, there's some more danger when snow and ice enter the picture. Some of the areas you might be used to now have snow drifts, and the lake is frozen, making it a potentially useful crossing for an attack.
The Winter Quest event is also now live alongside the update. During this event you can complete missions and fight for rewards. Among the prizes up for grabs include four rare vehicle models, including the Tornado IDS Marineflieger, camouflages, decorations, and more goodies.
