For its most competitive pilots and drivers, War Thunder has announced the War Thunder Championship Series, a year-round esports circuit that offers structured competition.

The WTCS will consist of four “major” events, which give teams of eight players points in a series-wide scoring system. Each event will have unique formats, with three varying styles of combat before the Thunder Cup wraps up the year. These majors all kick off with two of open qualifiers, allowing any team to throw their hat in the ring for glory.

The bulk of the league’s prizes will come in the form of Golden Eagles, unique titles and vehicles, and a few physical sponsorship prizes. Plus, it’ll culminate in the return of the Thunder Cup Final, which most recently took place this February

On top of the new official esports league, there’ll also be officially-sanctioned community-focused War Thunder tournaments, typically taking place for 2-3 days and with formats, teams, and prizes curated by its community organizers.

Full details about the WTCS, including dates and scoring systems, are available on the official announcement
