War Thunder has upgraded the options for your arsenal in the last big update of 2023: Air Superiority. The update adds top jets to a number of nations, with the F-15 and Mirage 4000 among them. Not to be left out, there are new ships, new tanks, new ground vehicles and rank, and dozens of other changes too.
Yet, with an update title like that, the air superiority is definitely a big highlight here. The F-15, Su-27, Mirage 4000, and JAS39 are here, with some nations getting their appropriate variants. So while the F-15A is for the US and Israel, Japan gets the F-15J. France gets the Mirage 4000, while Sweden can use the JAS39A, a multi-role fighter that also serves South Africa (found under the UK tree). Other additions include the AMX for Italy, and a premium pack for the German Tornado IDS WTD 61 that will add some fuel to gas-powered attacks in the large-scale war game.
For those who need a little help, since they've added a number of aircraft and missiles, they've added new training missions for jets that will also allow you to learn better air to surface missile techniques and air-to-air missiles.
Of course, without leaving anyone out, six nations also get new Naval vessels. the USS Roanoke will be able to engage surface targets and air targets, which is good when many people are going to be up in the air in some brand new top tier jets. France and Italy get other ships, the Courbet and the RN Leonardo da Vinci, which elevates their naval capacity on a level with other nations. Britain and Japan also get a new ship each.
This big update introduces Rank VIII for ground vehicles and 11 new ground vehicles. Now, with all of these new additions, there's a brand new map. Volcano Valley is designed for aircraft battles and is inspired by the peninsula of Kamchatka, which is near Russia. With erupting volcanoes, a river, and mountains, you'll have to take to the skies for mastery.
