VR MMORPG Ilysia's Biggest Content Update, 'Tides of Corruption', Adds Features and Overhauls the Experience

Months after the latest update, VR MMORPG Ilysia has a brand new update, Tides of Corruption. Team 21 Studios says this is the largest gameplay update ever, with overhauled early game content, new tutorial, a refreshed 1-10 zone, new challenges, new quests, and the game’s first dungeon.

The new tutorial is designed to be clearer and easier to follow, and you can set off on your adventure from Level 1 to 10 on the island Lavea. There are new main storyline quests, side quests, and an assortment of repeatable weekly and monthly ones too. This update represents a significant jump forward with the overhauls along with features like the addition of resource gathering, and a mail system. There's also a fast travel option that works with the mailbox.

To go along with resource gathering, the update adds fishing, mining, and cooking as professions with their own leveling systems. There are more than 40 recipes and a VR cooking mini game as well. there's a new UI-based weapon and armor crafting system, as well as toggles for body slots, new inventory options, and more.

A lot of the changes are improvements, including now you can heal other players correctly, combat pets summoned by Wardens are also now functional, and mobs got XP and damage balance changes. To go with this, there are also new mobs, including bears, wolves, cultists, and new Elite mobs to discover. mobs also get a new ranking difficulty, rare enemies. to go with the rare enemies come better rewards as well.

When you look at the full list of changes in the patch notes, a lot of these are very basic, but the team has been continuing to work to improve the performance as well to create a more fulfilling experience.
