Last week we reported about the big upcoming update from the virtual reality MMORPG Zenith: The Last City. As the team at RamenVr gears up to the release in less than a week, they’ve been diligently posting teasers of the new features that VR enthusiasts will be able to take part in.

Zenith released back in January of 2022, and has since added numerous features as the team continues to flesh out the virtual world for thousands of players. Back in March when our review concluded, Zenith’s score was less than stellar, but RamenVR has worked hard at adding new features, more polish, and plenty of content. In the latest video, we’re taken on a tour of The Academy, Outlaw Grove, and Twilight Athenaeum, all of which will be brand new areas headed to the game in patch 1.2.

Patch 1.2 will feature a bevy of exciting new features as well, such as creature catching:

Zenith is a standout as a novel experience for MMORPG players, and the new features will push the boundaries of what a virtual world can feel like. Despite a positive score on Steam of nearly 80%, the Steam charts are generally showing a niche of less than 100 peak players logging in daily. However, the numbers are probably misleading, as Zenith is available on both PSVR and Meta’s Oculus store, where both stores have thousands of positive reviews, and undoubtedly have their own players logging into Zenith’s unique online world. In addition to all the recent changes, the Zenith Roadmap still has numerous new ideas they plan to implement into patch 1.3, which will include player housing and a third class, the Cyber Ninja! For VR MMO fans, it looks like there is a lot to look forward to in Zenith.
