MMORPG Vindictus has received a major update adding its 18th playable hero in the lightning fast, rapier-wielding bounty hunter Tessa.

If you’re not too familiar with Vindictus, a free-to-play action-MMORPG developed by devCAT and published by Nexon. It’s known as Mabinogi: Heroes in its native Korea, and serves as a prequel to the popular Nexon MMORPG, Mabinogi. Vindictus is known for fast-paced combat, cloth physics, and the ability to weaponize objects in the environment.

This leads us to the most recent update which adds Tessa into the mix. Tessa was once an actress, but has since pivoted to hunting down dangerous criminals. She specializes in slashes using her rapier as she bounty hunts. Tessa can cast a mystic brand with gem magic just before counterattacking.

Via the press release,

“Tessa’s core skill is “Spinel Flash”, which allows her to dodge forward to evade incoming attacks and perform a hard stab with her rapier. She also uses the gem magic skill “Garnet Dash” to rapidly approach or evade an enemy. With “Diamond Doublet,” Tessa can perform two powerful slash attacks in a row.”

Vindictus is also hosting several events alongside the addition of Tessa. The To Tessa Package Event sees all players who create a Tessa character and reach Lv. 10+ during the event period receiving a permanent special outfit for free. Additionally, if you join the official Vindictus Discord channel for the Discord Socialite Event, you’ll receive the limited Whimsical Shark Hairpin.
