Nexon has opened up the pre-alpha playtest for upcoming medieval-fantasy action RPG Vindictus: Defying Fate. The test demo build is combat-centric, featuring two familiar characters to choose from.
The team announced that the playtest will run from March 13th, at 6PM PDT/9PM EDT to March 18th at 1 AM PDT / 4AM EDT. The team is also opening up a feedback survey to find out more about the player experience during the test.
If you're familiar with Nexon’s 2010 MMO, Vindictus, this game will bring back two of the characters that you’ll remember. Fiona and Lann return to get into the fight. Fiona wields a longsword and shield and play more defensively, while Lann wields two swords for highly mobile quick attacks and dodges. If you participate in the test, which you can do by signing up on the Vindictus: Defying Fate Steam page, you get to choose from these characters to play through the test build.
In addition to these returning series characters, the final launch is set for a large roster to choose from. Inspired by Irish mythology in the medieval fantasy action-RPG, the aim is to combine fast, hard hitting combat, with RPG customization and depth. Battle against Fomorian creatures and large-scale monsters you’ll run into. Set up your build to take on the varied mobs ahead of you, and continue to progress your character and play through the overall story adventure.
Vindictus: Defying Fate will release on PC via Steam and is also set for a console launch.
