Vampire: the Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 has been pushed back to October. The vampires need a little more development time, and the game moves from its prior (delayed) launch window of the first half of 2025.
“Paradox Interactive and The Chinese Room are committed to delivering this game, and we believe that ensuring great technical quality is more important than sticking to a specific date,” the teams said in the fall release announcement. They further cite community feedback and a need for more time for final development steps as well as quality assurance testing and to make sure everything is stable and they’ve squashed enough bugs for a successful launch.
Given the history of a VtM Bloodlines 2 project and its long development history and complete overhaul, a few more months to make sure everything is ready isn’t a big ask.
As a result of the delay, we won’t be getting more dev diaries for the time being so the team can focus solely on getting everything polished up to meet the October release.
