Like the vampires in Paradox Interactive’s World of Darkness, Bloodlines fans are truly cursed. Paradox Interactive and The Chinese Room announced this week yet another delay to Vampire: The Masquerade’s – Bloodlines long awaited sequel.
The Bloodlines 2 development team shared an update and video on its website describing its decision to push the game to its new release window, sometime in the first half of 2025, as one made to work on additional polish for the game. The team believes the game is in a “good enough place” for its 2024 release window, but wanted additional time to polish the overall experience.
Some additional specifics were outlined as well. The team will use the extra time to provide more of a quality assurance buffer, allowing for more testing. They will also use this time to make adjustments to Fabien and take feedback from the community into account. What’s likely to be most interesting to players is that the extra time will also allow The Chinese Room to add “more than twice” as many endings as had been originally planned, expanding the story some from its existing plans.
The team also took this opportunity to reassure players that they would not be going quiet during this period and the steady stream of Dev Diaries, deep dives, and more will continue.
