Changes to Viper and Yoru are here in Valorant’s next patch, along with some quality of life improvements, and more.
Viper is seeing changes to pretty much all her abilities. Her Toxin sees decay decreased while in the cloud, and time for health regen decreased when you’re out of the cloud. Poison Cloud pickup distance has increased, with Toxic Screen remaining active for 2 seconds if Viper dies after activating it. Snakebite equip time has decreased as well.
Yoru has seen some changes as well. Time to activate his Blindside has decreased, while the actual effect of the flash duration has increased. Gatecrash won’t refresh upon kills anymore. Instead, it will be available after a cooldown of 35 seconds. The Gatecrash portal will now be up for 30 seconds, with its stealth range detection decreased. Finally, his Ult now costs fewer points to activate, now requiring 6 points instead of 7.
Elsewhere, Escalation mode saw some tweaks, as did the Bucky shotgun. QoL improvements include the megamap now using the mouse cursor instead of a crosshair for pinging. Several bug fixes were introduced in this patch as well.
An HRTF profile was added to the game’s audio, which is meant to provide more accurate sound detection. You can check out the full patch notes here.
