Valorant’s Episode 3 Act 2 is live and brings damage updates, new bonus XP for the premium version of the battle pass, and more.

A few agents are getting changes for sake of ability damange consistency. These agents include Brimstone, Sova, and Breach. Riot notes their intent with these changes is to, “reward those of you who are creative with the ability sandbox, using your tools to solve the obstacles other Agents are creating.”

As an example, Breach’s Aftershock now deals damage to:

  • Killjoy Alarm Bot
  • Killjoy Nanoswarm
  • Killjoy Lockdown
  • Cypher Tripwire
  • Reyna Leer
  • Sage Barrier Orb
  • Sova Recon Bolt
  • KAY/O Zero/Point

One of the bigger updates as part of this patch 3.05 is bonus XP for the premium version of the battle pass. Moving forward, this premium battle pass provides a 3% XP boost for battle pass progression for any matchmade game through the conclusion of Act 2.

However, this XP boost is not retroactive. Additionally, it does not apply toward your Dailies or Weeklies. This patch also includes some bug fixing in addition to performance updates such as the following:

  • Updated the ping calculation to exclude the server frame time.
  • Updated markers used by NVIDIA Reflex
    • NVIDIA Reflex is used to reduce and measure rendering latency. This update should allow Reflex to better pace frames by adding present markers as well as fixes on some older markers.

You can read the full patch notes here. Riot previously introduced network updates to make your Valorantexperience a tad better. Patch 3.0 brought a major change when it introduced account leveling.
