Iron Gate, the developer behind the popular survival sandbox game Valheim, is preparing a new update for the game titled The Bog Witch.
The Bog Witch update won’t introduce a new biome to the game but it will give players interested in cooking and potion brewing plenty to look forward to. The update will offer a slew of new recipes, skills, resources, and more.
The Bog Witch herself will take up residence in Valheim’s existing swamp biome and serve as a vendor selling all manner of potions, materials, spices, crafting recipes and more to players. The potions available for purchase can grant players a variety of buffs to stats such as strength, dexterity, and endurance.
There are also eight new feasts for players who love hosting to prepare for their friends and other guests.
Cooking and farming are two new skills coming in the update. Increasing one’s cooking skill will reduce the time to prepare food and also unlock new things to cook. Farming will lower the stamina cost of Cultivators and give players an increased chance to yield additional crops. Any farmer worth their salt will want to get their hands on the brand new scythe tool, which will allow for quicker harvesting.
Valheim’s The Bog Witch update will be available for public testing soon, though no specific date was provided.
