The Tarisland team is once again sharing more details on promised improvements announced following feedback from the closed beta. This time, we get info on what their plans are for crafting, from major overhauls like simplifying the process to optimizing the feature.

In a previous announcement, they mentioned wanting to simplify the crafting process to reduce the learning curve and improve the player experience. Part of what they're doing is to reduce lengthy and tedious processes in order to make things more fun. All of this is based on feedback from the closed beta that informed the team that crafting felt complicated and took a long time without an output that felt sufficient for all the work and time that went into it.

The first step they'll be doing is to simplify crafting overall, and they are also temporarily removing the artisan profession and sending those outputs into other professions to offer more choice. They'll also make crafting recipes easier to obtain, and recipes will require fewer ingredients or amounts.

Resources and output will also increase. They want to make sure that everyone has enough items and materials for their own personal crafting but also to trade. Not only will this boost the number of crafted items available,  it will put more gold into player pockets and also create  more opportunities for trade in the game.

In a related tweak, armor sets will only be raid drops, so they prioritize PVE gameplay to get the best gear. Crafting and trading will still have a place when it comes to gear, but the decision is to make most of the best items PVE only to give more players a shot at them.

Definitely, the team is trying to improve the player experience with all of these crafting changes to make it more viable and obtainable through just playing the game. with all the feedback that came in saying it was overly complex, these changes seem like they will keep the focus on simply playing and working your way through.
