The ArcheAge site has been updated with a new blog post that lays out the details about forthcoming changes to crafting coming with the Erenor Eternal expansion. According to the blog, many of the changes coming with the expansion have come directly as a result of player and community feedback.
Here are a few changes incoming:
- several tiers have been removed to provide a more direct path to end-game crafted items
- upgrades will still be available
- crafted goods are now "cloaked", not sealed. This allows players to decide what upgrade emerges
- mana wisps are removed completely and converted to Archeum Crystals
- salvage forges are also gone
- regrade difficulties are added with a new window that displays the chance of succeeding at a given level
Last but certainly not least: Erenor crafting! This new pinnacle of ArcheAge gear works a bit differently than the gear that preceded it. Instead of regrading like normal, Erenor gear requires you to sacrifice previously crafted gear in order to move up in enchantment grades. Each piece sacrificed gives a specific amount of experience to your item. Once the experience bar is full, it will level up to the next grade.
Higher grades unlock additional stats for your item, increasing its usefulness and efficiency.
