Ubisoft has issued a hotfix to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla after reports of increased crashing.
The reports of crashing followed the recent release of update 1.2 which added transmog. The patch also introduced the Ostara festival which brought a bit of springtime to Ravensthorpe along with several decorations.
Unfortunately, it looks like these decorations may have been the source of crashes. The forums lit up with reports of such crashing with one user writing,
“Ostara is a crash fest!!! I am on the egg hunting mission and thats when it all started, during other missions did not encounter any of those crashes. Sent 3 reports today already also 1 more yesterday after the 1.2.0 patch.”
Ubisoft responded on Twitter informing the community that they were working on a hotfix. It seems that hotfix has now been deployed with festival decorations removed,
“We’re deploying a server-side hotfix to address a rise in crashing near Ravensthorpe. Settlement decorations will be temporarily removed and Ostara Festival quests involving decorations will not be completable. Thanks for your patience as our team releases a permanent fix soon!”
In recent news, the first expansion called Wrath of the Druids is set to release on April 29. We’ll travel to Ireland and will be tasked with gaining the favor of the kings there to confront a druid cult called the Children of Danu.
