After multiple delays, Skull And Bones again has a new release window. According to Ubisoft, its upcoming pirate game is now slated to launch sometime in Q4 2023-2024.

Skull and Bones has had a rocky development history. First shown off at E3 2017, Ubisoft's pirate sim has faced delay after delay, and while the game was playable in a NDA-free beta test in August, proving to many players it does actually exist in some form, its future still feels uncertain.

The game has seen six total delays, the most recent one in January of this year, which saw the upcoming game get a nebulous "Early 2023-2024" window. Ubisoft has narrowed that a bit as part of today's earnings report. According to Ubisoft's earnings report today, Skull and Bones is now slated to release sometime in "Q4 2023-2024," which would put it somewhere between January and March 2024.

Whether or not Skull and Bones actually hits that window remains to be seen. Just last month, Skull and Bones lost its third creative director, something Ubisoft chalked up to "normal development." Still, after multiple delays and changes from the original pitch back at E3 2017 (remember, too, this was supposed to be released in 2018 originally), it's hard to have any real hope we'll see the sea-faring Ubisoft Singapore title release soon. Hopefully, though, this new defined window is it and players eager to see Ubisoft's Skull and Bones for themselves.
