Training the Perfect Pilot

The right pilot is crucial to any star ship's success in space and Star Trek Online expands on that idea with a new blog post about how players can trail the perfect pilot for whatever ship they choose.

Players need to begin by spending ten ability points in the Pilot Captain Specialization in order to create Specialization Qualifications for the Pilot Bridge Officer Specialization at the Officer Training R&D school. Pilots will learn four new space pilot abilities for every specialization qualification.

The blog goes into great detail about what those skills are, how each pilot's abilities change based on rank and there's even a small Q&A at the end of the article that gives more information about which ships utilize pilots, and the news that more about each pilot ability will be revealed over time.
