Niantic has revealed a new bonus for Pokemon Go players who love to trade with others. When one player trades to another, the one receiving the new Pokemon has a chance for it to turn into a "sparkly Lucky Pokemon" that will "require less Stardust to power up, which means they can reach a higher CP much faster than other Pokemon".
Players can "up" the chance for a Lucky Pokemon trade by holding Pokemon in inventory. The longer one is held before trading, the higher the chance it will morph into a Lucky Pokemon.
Trainers who send Gifts may also find that they receive XP for doing so and recipients will have a chance to find Stardust in the Gift.
