Tower of Fantasy's Next Update, 'Reality in Restraint' Coming October 29th, With Limited Evangelion Collab Return

Tower of Fantasy will bring back elements of the Evangelion collaboration in the next major update, 4.4 “Reality in Restraint” on October 29th. 

The update will include new story content and will further dive into the Gesthos Network, which replicated the pre-Cataclysm Aida, And stretches across the surface and the underworld. It seems like the new chapter will start to uncover some of the mysteries and truths that have so far been hidden.

A new update trailer sets things up with some additional mysteries first, though. Team X is set to take over some operations but the trap that had already been set by Asurada is in effect. Also, there’s a whole lot of aberrants to worry about. 

We'll get more details on the update as the release gets closer, but one thing the studio is already talking about is the limited-time return of the Tower of Fantasy x Evangelion collaboration. When the update drops on October 29th, you can unlock the free EVA-01 inspired Raiding Fantasy outfit and earn even currency for more goodies. If you collect 20 Pen-Pen shards by opening some World boss chests in the network, you'll be able to fuse them and get your very own Smart Servant Pen-Pen.

Naturally, Asuka and Rei will also get a special reissue, but the ToF team is warning that this is the last chance to get these items. 

“Once the reissue ends, EVA-related Limited Orders will not return. The weapons "Spear of Longinus" and "Salvation" won't be added to the permanent Choice Weapons pool. Additionally, Asuka Matrix and Rei Matrix won't enter the permanent Choice Matrices pool.”
