Tower of Fantasy has plans for its second anniversary and next content update, Cool Coastline. The team is previewing  new features, anniversary gifts, and a new simulacrum, Nola.

The second anniversary is on the way, and there will be some free gifts available when the next update hits on August 6th. There will be a special login campaign from August 6th through September 19th,  with a number of rewards and special goods, including up to 340 free draws.  you can claim a gift pack once a day and receive one random item from the rewards list. There will also be additional gifts to claim with more announcements coming.

New simulacrum Nola will come with her weapon, Rumble, and her new trailer goes into her story and her lore a little more.  As previously announced, she has no memories about her past. She’s nicknamed Fang, and has facilitated the work of the Wednesday crime syndicate. Part of her journey is to find out more about her past and see if she can recover her memories.

Her weapon, Rumble,  has an altered damage attribute and is essentially a combination motorcycle and greatsword. how this works, you can see a bit in the video, but essentially her weapon can change its elemental type so that she can use different attributes and make her a versatile team player. She also has a dodge skill called Sonic Skyrider,  that can let her insta-kill non-boss monsters.

The Tower of Fantasy team has also shared a second anniversary dev report, where they address some community questions.

One of the features coming in Cool Coastline is Simulacra Dorm, and the preview is just as fanservice-y as you might expect from a gacha dorm mode. One of the events, Splendid Residence, will also offer the chance at “dorm vouchers”. Expect more simulacra to be added over time and for new features that allow more interaction with the simulacra. There will also be more male characters added.

The team will be reducing the number of minigames in events in favor of better gameplay elements and revamping rewards. They are also optimizing some of the older gameplay and continuing to add MMO content and multiplayer instances and explorable world content as well.  They've also revealed that the Neon Genesis Evangelion collaboration characters are likely returning.
