Open world RPG, Tower of Fantasy, is releasing next month, hitting PC and mobile globally on August 10th.

The upcoming anime-inspired open-world multiplayer RPG will be hitting PC and mobile devices at the same time, bringing players to the distant world of Aida thousands of years in the future. Developer Hotta Studio and publisher Level Infinite state that over three million players have signed up to gain access to Tower of Fantasy on the official website, with 2.5 million pre-registrations in just three weeks alone. The open-world RPG will have full cross-play functionality when it launches as well.

Tower of Fantasy is a shared open-world RPG set in a post-apocalyptic future. Via this morning's press release:

"Set hundreds of years in the future after humanity has escaped the collapsing environment of earth and fled to the distant planet of Aida, the open-world action of Tower of Fantasy has been a hit with gamers in China, and soon gamers in the rest of the world will get to join in on the thrilling action. Players will be able to experience an anime-inspired post-apocalyptic sci-fi art style, freeform character development, immersive objectives, and exciting combat through thrilling battles and exciting open world exploration."

Recently, Tower of Fantasy showed off some of the characters players can take the role of during their adventures on Aida. Tower of Fantasy pulled the curtain back on combat with a new trailer earlier this month, which you can check out below.

Developed by a team of over 200 developers in Suzhou, China, Tower of Fantasy is created by Hotta Studio. Comprised of industry and MMO veterans, Tower of Fantasy first released in China last year under Perfect World. Tower of Fantasy will be released on PC here in the West via Steam and the Epic Game Store, as well as on Android and iOS devices. Tower of Fantasy will unlock at 2pm PDT/5pm EDT on August 10th on all platforms.
