Tower of Fantasy is gearing up for its next big expansion update on March 30th, Version 2.4 “Under The Grand Sea”. A new video introduces Lan, the next simulacrum coming with the update.
Lan and her weapon, Vermillion Bird, get an intro, and a peek at some of her lore. Her background isn’t entirely clear, as she is introduced as coming from a mysterious dimensional passage, but claiming that she is from Domain 9. Indeed, there’s even more mystery in this intro video, similar previous simulacra intros of this type. Still, while some of these videos are mysterious in a way that leaves you with questions, this one features some action and destruction.
With the promise of the underwater region on the way that features underwater lava and other unknowns down in the depths, it doesn’t take much to understand that things aren’t going to just remain calm endlessly. In a trailer for the full update, the following quote comes to mind,” This gentle sea has never experienced true peacefulness”.
In Lan’s intro, we get a brief look at her fire-based powers, using her parasol-like weapon. It’s the kind of thing that might lead you to underestimate someone, but Lan is capable of unleashing flaming, fast attacks, typical of Tower of Fantasy’s fast-paced style.
As with some of the other weapons and skill sets in the game, there are designs related to her weapon that appear as she attacks. This time, there are umbrella-shaped indicators of the reach of her powers as she unleashes fiery energy upon her enemies.
