Tower of Fantasy’s next phase is on the way next week, and the team is revealing the next new simulacrum, Asurada. He’s the first new male simulacrum in a while for the game, and he gets an intro and new lorevideo ahead of the update.
Asurada will arrive with his weapon, Hellfire. The new simulacrum trailer starts off mildly enough, but Tower of Fantasy lore intros aren’t going to stay that way for long. Things get a bit trippy, as Asurada begins to confront some of his old experiences, including what seems like family disappointment at him wanting to become an actor. He is the son and heir of the Todd family, The wealthy owners of a media corporation and a social media app featured in the trailer, ECHO.
As for that actor dream, the trailer description says: “The biggest swindler in the Federation, a two-faced scoundrel, a man who would do anything for profit. You can hear many negative comments about Asurada. But deep down in his heart, he only has one dream: to become a drama actor”.
Well, he has that dream in a distinct stage of completion as we see, but what we also get to preview is his ability in combat. His weapon, Hellfire, is unsurprisingly, a fire weapon and he’ll use it Not just to strike back at enemies, but to weaken their defenses.
We’ll get to see more of Asurada when the next update, Reality in Restraint, arrives on October 29th. The updte also brings back the Evangelion collaboration for one last time. Ahead of this, we’ll likely get some combat showcases to see what Hellfire can do.
