Tower of Fantasy has shared details on the upcoming collaboration with classic anime Neon Genesis Evangelion. The team also previewed version 3.6's new simulacrum, Plotti, and the global Classic server.
“Evangelion Fantasy”, the upcoming collaboration, will launch in the first half of 2024. There will be an all new adventure to play through with Shinji Ikari, Asuka Shinikami Langley and Rei Ayanami in the Vera sector. You’ll confront dangers and a looming crisis, facing the Angels, and working together. Expect not only the Angels, but also EVA units, including EVA-00, EVA-01, and EVA-02 in 1:1 scale. This event is going to be a fully detailed experience. They're looking for authentic experiences that will fit the game's story and be true to the Evangelion characters. there will also be some Recreations of classic scenes from the anime with certain details that you'll have to discover by playing through the event.
In addition to recreations of classics, there's also completely new content, including a new collaborative vehicle inspired by Evangelion. Also, Pen Pen will arrive in Aida as a smart servant and companion.
The event will also present the opportunity to get simulacrums of Asuka and Rei from event banners.
With the depth of that collaboration, we still can’t forget there’s a major 3.6 update on the way January 30th, with a whole new, very different zone, Aquaville. This is the last part of Domain 9 to be added. Aquaville defies gravity, as it is a “folded city “ and travel along the Gravity Rail, a system that connects various places in the city along the walls.
A new simulacrum, Plotti, is a flame and physical attribute roster addition, who carries a hand cannon with both elements. She’s responsible for maintaining order, but has a rebellious streak.
There’s also a global Classic server on the way and a physical edition of the game (with details to come). The team even prepared a FAQ about the Classic version, which will run separately to the standard version. There are some changed mechanics and the team is aiming at those who want to have fun and prefer more hardcore MMO experiences.
