The Elder Scrolls Online team streamed a preview of Update 43 today, and there are a number of new features on the way, including home tours, updates to the Infinite Archive, and more improvements on the way.
The stream today highlighted several important features, and home tours were at the center of the presentation. The Activity Finder will be the hub for these home tours. You can choose to showcase your home for these tours. In order to find homes to tour, you can go sightseeing by using the recommended tab in the Home Tour menu, or look people up by user ID. Even if you use the Recommended tab, your friends and guildmates will be labeled in the feed for easy discovery.
You can also choose criteria to filter by, including themes. Two examples mentioned in the announcement blog include libraries and strongholds, but since player housing often tends to be as creative as the community is able to express themselves, this should grow over time. If you find a home that's great and you want to return to it, you can favorite it or even recommend it to others. To prevent spamming and numbers gaming, you can only recommend a certain number of homes per week but you can visit as many as you want.
Update 43 will also feature the first major additions to the Infinite Archive since its launch. What this means is new maps, enemies, and loot, but also new Verses (eight of them), Visions (10) and even new class item sets. The new verses include Phalanx, usable to call some ghostly soldiers to do a wall defense. The Necrotic Vision set Could let you unlock an Undead Avatar transformation that gives you more power with every enemy you defeat. The team also teases new hard to obtain consumables to unlock other transformation verses.
There will be additional quality of life improvements coming in the update, which will be out on August 19th on PC/Mac and September 4th on console. The update will make it on the PC/Mac public test server next week.
