Updates have been made to the Torments of the Tower mechanic for World of Warcraft’s Torghast. Here’s what’s changed.

First up, it looks like the soft-timer from each floor has now been removed outright. However, bonus loot has been implemented should you complete each boss accordingly. Per Wowhead, any effects from Torment of the Tower which until now scaled as you climbed have now been changed.

Now, these effects will no longer contain the speed effects. Instead, enemies will become stronger, with these effects lasting throughout your entire run.

Additionally, bonus loot for quickly completing the tower has been introduced, as noted by the, “The chest brims with extra rewards for a prompt competition,” message in-game. Apparently, this now awards players with twice the loot, which results in receiving 10 [[PH] Twisted Dust] instead of earning five previously.

As a reminder, Blizzard is set to host a Shadowlands reveal event on June 9 with Executive Producer John Hight and Game Director Ion Hazzikostas,

“Set a reminder on your calendar for Tuesday, June 9 at 9:00 a.m. PDT for a simulcast stream live with World of Warcraft Executive Producer John Hight and Game Director Ion Hazzikostas. They’ll share more about the upcoming Shadowlands expansion with a look at some of the newest content in development.”
