Torchlight: Infinite will launch Season 4: Whispering Mist, on April 18th, with special previews ahead of time to detail everything you can expect from the ARPG’s next big update.
The XD team revealed the new season’s release date, along with a teaser, though the teaser is teasing both the update and upcoming full reveal. We do get some details from both the announcement and the teaser though. There is a place rumored to be one where reality itself gets warped and time is also changed. Sounds like a very safe area to visit, particularly in a misty location like the city of Mistville.
Mistville is a foreboding name if we’ve ever heard one, and the brief teaser trailer also hints at the dark secrets and inability to trust in what is real on the way. Not only will you get to explore the Netherrealm of Mistville, you’ll get to meet the people that live there. And try to defeat them in order to have any hope of solving what’s going on.
It doesn’t sound like a leisure trip by any means, and XD also announced that there are some new gameplay elements coming in this season, new hero traits, new outfits, and some feature updates and changes intended to improve the player experience. The team also teases the arrival of a much requested feature.
Of course, they’re keeping a lot back, so the full reveal is coming on April 13th. The stream is set for 9AM PDT/ 12 PM EDT on the official Twitch or YouTube ahead of the season’s start on the 18th at 7PM PDT.
