The first pre-registrations are now open for Torchlight: Infinite. Interested Android users can now register interest (though the official site has a pre-registration button for iOS too). The upcoming ARPG will be released on mobile and PC, but access is drawing closer.
The upcoming game features a series of playable heroes, each with their own traits and access to over 50 talent nodes, which will let you play your way. This is in addition to the more than 200 skills that will be available in the game, and over 230 pieces of legendary gear. Developer XD is looking to give the customization and flexibility Torchlight fans enjoy, while making this continuation/soft reboot for mobile and PC.
The ARPG is being developed by a team that includes veterans of other franchises and titles like Diablo, Path of Exile, and, naturally, Torchlight. With the emphasis on customization, story, and more, multiplayer is also a key part of the experience, and there will also be full cross-play. Other plans include a season-based system for new content and additional releases on all supported platforms.
With the latest beta phase having concluded in June, the game moves closer to being in players’ hands with the pre-registration opening up. With most of the attention having been on mobile so far, XD is also reassuring players that Torchlight: Infinite is also keeping PC in mind “from the ground up”, according to a release on the opening of pre-registration. More info on the PC release will be coming at the TapTap Presents event beginning on July 23rd. Other games getting a spotlight at this event include Genshin Impact, and more from XD and MihoYo.
As for Torchlight: Infinite’s pre-registration, you can find out more about the game and register for access over at the game’s site.
