During a livestream event that ended earlier today, the Torchlight Frontiers team showed off a ton of gameplay as well as provided a visual look at the horizontal progression system that the game will utilize. You may remember that over the weekend, the team spent time on Reddit providing a textual description of how "Frontiers" will have their own progression and endgame" and that allows players to collect a variety of equipment to suit every location.
- New content doesn't invalidate past progress
- Players can specialize characters in a wider variety of ways, for a wider variety of content
- Players have fun reasons to play all over the world, not just the "end game"
- Players at different levels / progression have lots of ways to play together that are rewarding for everyone
