As part of the ongoing 10th anniversary celebration, The Elder Scrolls Online team is holding a special stream today, with discussion, some reveals, and Twitch Drops.
Game Director Rich Lambert and Studio Head Matt Firor will join Gina Bruno and Senior CM Amy Schlueter streaming from Gamescom on the Bethesda Twitch channel at 12:00 p.m. Eastern/ 9:00 a.m. Pacific. They'll be discussing the 10th anniversary events so far, recapping the experiences with the community throughout, and discussing some of the anniversary events and promotions.
The year-long anniversary celebration so far has given away expansions, DLC, a house, extra rewards, horses, emotes, and more. In the stream announcement, we also get a little tease. They will be “revealing a little (just a little!) about what lies ahead for this massive, year-long celebration”. What this means and what it will include is to be seen in just a couple of hours.
What they have revealed though is that there will be Twitch Drops for some more loot that you can earn by watching the stream. Watch for 15 minutes and you'll get a free Ouroboros Crate. If you watch 30 minutes you'll get a Grand Gold Coast Experience scroll, good for a +100% XP boost for an hour.
The first big North American Elder Scrolls Online anniversary event was also announced. This will take place in San Diego at Side Bar, during the same week as TwitchCon. The ESO event will be on Saturday, September 21st, and there will be several members of the community team and dev team in attendance. Among them are Rich Lambert, encounter lead Mike Finnigan, PvP and combat lead Brian Wheeler, and Scribing lead Kara Schlitt.
At the event there will be opportunities to spend time with other players, free food and drinks, activities and giveaways. It's an anniversary event, after all. If you’re planning to be in town, you can already RSVP.
