Throne and Liberty has a new update and a reminder about platform-specific servers and matchmaking.
The holiday event, Startree Solstice, begins in Solisium tomorrow, through January 9th, 2025. Head to Snowdrift Island for event-specific arena matches and event rewards to sweeten the deal. There are festive villages all decorated for the holidays to explore, Trees of Gratitude to decorate and get gifts in return, and the event currency, Startree Wreaths. Collect the event currency to exchange for rewards. Deliver Startree Orb Decorations (which you can earn in the 6v6 PvP holiday arena) to get letters from characters.
Send Amitoi on expeditions here for a chance at event rewards, including themed Amitoi and something special for Startree Solstice Amitoi. The shop also gets a holiday themed update with the Winter Wonderland outfit and other new cosmetics. Finally, if you are completing tasks and levels on the Battle Pass, event challenges can earn you some festive rewards this month.
The update also schedules a new event to make up for Bellandir and Tevent Arch Boss encounters that were plagued by issues the first time. This opens tomorrow through January 9th. These bosses will spawn twice on their normally scheduled days, one time in peace and once In conflict.
In the name of friendlier gameplay, there's now a cooldown timee for those who cancel dungeon matchmaking after the party is matched or after entering a dungeon. The starting penalty is 10 minutes, and this will increase if you continue breaking the rules.
When it comes to dungeons and matchmaking, there's another update from the team on platform specific matchmaking. If you are playing on platform specific servers you can only enter matchmaking with others on that same platform server. PlayStation players get one transfer ticket in their inventory if they want to transfer on or off a Playstation only server, but everyone else who may want to transfer will have to buy a ticket in the shop.
Cooking contracts are now available from contract managers. Food items have been streamlined and assigned grades like Common and Rare, based on required ingredients. With the increase in recipes and crafting opportunities, item drop rates also get overhauled. If you're interested in cooking and how things work the full details are in the update notes.
Throne and Liberty is getting into the holiday mood and celebrating with food, bosses, and loot.
