Throne and Liberty (TL) producer Jong-ok Ahn released part 5 of his producer’s letter this week, following his presentation at G-Star. With the game's launch fast approaching, the development team is busy with final preparations, as they aim for a smooth Korean launch.

In the letter, Ahn expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response at the G-Star stage and during the live broadcast, acknowledging feedback regarding the game's boss mechanics. He stated that, while the demo may have appeared simplistic, TL boasts a diverse array of challenging bosses with varying patterns and difficulties, signaling that the team likely won’t change much with the boss mechanics ahead of launch. Luckily for western audiences, TL will have a period of adjustment throughout the live game, which will likely translate to more robust changes as the game eyes a global release.

Ahn also encouraged players to look forward to TL's PvE content, which will be abundant, and he states the team is still tweaking the game based on player feedback. He also release the official launch schedule. Throne and Liberty will officially launch on December 12, 2023, at 7:20 PM KST

Pre-download of the launch client begins on December 4th at 12 AM KST, in anticipation of the large client size. Players are encouraged to install it in advance for a smooth start on launch day. Ahn also highlighted the ongoing character pre-creation event and thanked participants that have taken part in it.

That wasn’t the only news Throne and Liberty had this week. The team at NCSOFT released a host of new videos and we’ve compiled them for ease of watching. For those looking for more in-depth coverage of the weapons available in TL, each of the 7 weapons, the Long Sword, the Wand, the Staff, the Great Sword, the Crossbow, the Longbow and the Dagger, were outlined along with their abilities.

They also released the opening cinematic that players will encounter when they first hop into the game in December. The team at NCSOFT has been in the midst of an all-hands-on-deck push ahead of launch as they look to make Throne and Liberty an unquestionable success. We’re looking forward to seeing more of the game leading up to the Korean launch and beyond, when western players will finally get their hands on the global version.
