Throne and Liberty is gearing up for its first major test of the year, with a closed beta test announced for April 10th. Sign-ups are now live.
Despite being live in Korea since last December, little has been shared regarding publisher Amazon Games' timeline for the MMO here in the West. The NCSOFT-developed MMORPG will launch on both PC and consoles at some point, though the exact timing still feels very much up in the air. However, the Throne and Liberty team announced something that will invariably kick things off this year and, hopefully, restart the clock on its western launch.
After months of speculation, T&L will be hosting a closed beta test, with the MMORPG available to play across PC, Xbox Series S|X and PlayStation 5. The test itself will run from April 10th through the 17th, and will be available in North America, Europe, South America and the Asia Pacific region (meaning New Zealand, Japan, and Australia).

As part of the announcement, the Throne and Liberty team pushed out a trailer to its social media accounts, showcasing some gameplay from the MMORPG, giving a glimpse into how the game looks in action for those who might not have followed the Korean launch last year.
It's been a quiet month for the MMO, as the team seems to have been gearing up for this moment. Earlier this year, the Throne and Liberty team showcased its first siege, complete with Golems and literally thousands of players taking part. How much longer Western players need to wait before being able to jump in the full game themselves remains to be seen, but this sign of life is a good step in the right direction.
